Yes, we offer warranties on our lab equipment. Most equipment in our portfolio comes with a standard 1-year or 2-year warranty. Contact us for more detailed information on specific products.

Unfortunately we cannot easily cancel your orders, especially if it is a custom/special product.

Yes, you can. However, we do charge a restocking fee of 25% of the value of the product being cancelled.

Only people who have their business located in Belgium are allowed to create an account on the Belgian website.

You can't see the webshop prices because you need an account in order to see our prices. You may also try and request a quote.

There are several ways how to place an order. An order can be placed by sending your order to info@nbsscientific.be. You can also contact our colleagues by phone at +31 (0)36 549 1010. You can also create an account on our website and place an order online.

Typically, we need as much information as possible to process an order. We need information about the company you work for: First Name Last Name Job Title Company name VAT number Invoice and delivery address Email address for order confirmations Email address for invoices. We also need a reference or order number.

For orders under €1000 we charge €25 shipping costs. Above €1000 we deliver completely free.

Yes.

For bulk purchases, you can request a quote from Sales where discounts can be agreed upon.

If in stock the product will be delivered the next day. If we have to order the product, the expected delivery time is 4/ 6 weeks.

No this is unfortunately not possible. After the order confirmation you receive from us, you need to check everything; if something is not right report it immediately.

Our shipping method is via UPS. These are packed in a cardboard box. Sterile products are shipped in the original sterile packaging.

You can send an email with photo, then we will process it as being a complaint. Then if the complaint is justified the product will be redelivered.

If items are missing please send us an email with an explanation and possibly pictures. Our colleagues will handle it as soon as possible.

If possible, always sign for delivery.

You do not need to specifically consider something. For equipment and other fragile items, our boxes will have a "this side up" sticker. Please do not accept the box if the box is delivered the wrong way around and please make a report. For products with clean-room conditions, the clean-room bags will be shipped in a cardboard box. Please do not cut too deeply into the box to prevent the clean room bags from breaking.

It can sometimes happen that your order is delivered later than desired. This may have several causes: article not in stock, delay in shipping. We always try to keep you as well informed as possible about the delivery.

A capcluster has a black foil that users can remove once all tubes have been capped. A capmat has a fixed foil that cannot be removed once tubes have been capped. A capband is a capmat with perforated edges that can be torn into strips of 8 or 12 caps.

Micronic offers two methods of sterilization for their labware: gamma irradiation and ethylene oxide. If your team requires sterilization, please let us know because additional fees will apply.

Yes. We offer Tube Trial Packs for 96-well format tubes. These packs include 10 racks of tubes and 960 caps. We also offer small packs of precapped hybrid tubes and racks.

Yes. We offer samples of the following products: Micronic tubes, caps, and racks and GenTegra stability reagents. Please note: we do not have samples in stock for every product in our portfolio. If we don’t have the sample you need, we’ll do our best to send you a similar product.

We offer the full range of TPE Push Caps and Screw Caps from Micronic.

Yes. The CP620 comes with a 1-year warranty.

No. The CP620 has a user-friendly interface that lets you select the tube size you're working with. Therefore, adapters are not needed.

The CP620 can decap an entire rack of push cap tubes in approximately 10-15 seconds, depending on tube height.

The CP620 is compatible with the following 96-well format tubes with internal thread from Micronic: 0.50ml, 0.75ml, 1.10ml, and 1.40ml.

Yes. The CP600 and CP610 come with a 1-year warranty.

To use the CP600 or CP610, simply pull out the drawer and place a rack filled with tubes on top of it. Place the capmat, capband, or capcluster on the tubes and then push the drawer closed. The unit will automatically start capping the tubes.

The CP600 and CP610 can cap entire racks of 96 tubes in approximately 7 seconds (depending on tube height).

The CP600 and CP610 can cap internal thread tubes with push caps. These caps include the TPE Capmats, Capbands, Capclusters, and EVA Capmats from Micronic.

The CP600 and CP610 are compatible with the complete range of Micronic 96-well format internally threaded tubes. This range includes the following tube sizes: 0.50ml, 0.75ml, 1.10ml, 1.40ml, 2.00ml, and 2.50ml. The CP600 can accommodate tubes up to 1.40ml (or 48mm tall) in size. The CP610 can accommodate tube up to 2.50ml (or 85mm tall) in size.

Yes. The Sigma96 can operate as a stand-alone instrument. It can also integrate into a fully-automated laboratory environment. Since users place the racks horizontally on the unit, robotic arms can more easily retrieve them.

The Sigma96 can cap, decap, or recap an entire rack of tubes in 30 seconds.

The Sigma96 is compatible with 96-well ANSI/SLAS format racks from brands like Micronic, FluidX, LVL Technologies, and Thermo Fisher. Other versions are available for 48-well format tubes and racks (Sigma48) and 24-well format tubes and racks (Sigma24).

The DR700 and DR710 rack readers use CCD imaging technology to capture the 2D Data-Matrix codes on the bottom of sample storage tubes. The DR700/DR710 side barcode reader also uses CCD imaging technology to capture 1D rack barcodes.

The DR710 has an active anti-frost system that can eliminate condensation on the scanner plate. The DR700 has a passive anti-frost system that can read frozen tubes more easily.

The Micronic full-rack code readers work with the Micronic Code Reader Software.

The DR500 and DR505 can scan a rack of tubes in 5 seconds or a single tube in 2 seconds.

The DR500 and DR505 rack readers use CIS imaging technology to capture the 2D Data-Matrix codes on sample storage tubes. The DR500/DR505 side barcode reader uses CCD imaging technology to capture 1D rack barcodes.

Yes. Customers can use a USB stick to load a “pick list” from a LIMS system into the HT500. The HT500 will then pick and place the desired tubes into the target rack(s). At the end of the run, users can export the rack content in a CSV file.

The HT500 can pick and place up to 400 sample storage tubes per hour.

Yes. A “pick list” generated from a LIMS system can be loaded into the HT700 via a USB stick. The HT700 will then pick and place the desired tubes into the target rack(s). At the end of the run, users can export the rack content in a CSV file.

The HT700 can hold up to 24 96-well ANSI/SLAS format source racks and 1-3 96-well ANSI/SLAS format target racks. Because of its cassette design, the HT700 allows for short distances between the source racks and target racks. This shorter distance facilitates a faster sorting process compared to other more platform-based units.

The Lambda576 only laser-etches the tube surface, so there’s no risk to the sample within the tube.

The software included with the Lambda576 is comprehensive and has the option to connect/refer to other programs and/or lists (e.g. Excel).

Since the Lambda576 "burns" into the plastic of each tube, the air must be extracted and cleaned during operation.

Tubes must have at least one opaque wall to be compatible with the Lambda576.

The Lambda576 can laser etch various markings, including: 2D codes, 1D barcodes, logos, text, or sample IDs.

Once the user places each rack into the Lambda576, a gripper arm selects a tube and carries it to the camera. The camera detects the laser-friendly part of the tube, and then the gripper arm positions the tube in front of the laser. The laser etches a permanent marking onto the tube, and then the gripper arm returns it to its original position in the rack. The gripper arm picks up the next tube and repeats this process for every tube in the unit.

The CXT 353 can extract up to 5 frozen aliquots from a single 2.00ml vial.

The LN2 tank is a 5-liter tank – it holds up to 4 liters of LN2.

No. The serrated edges of the coring probe lose their sharpness after 1 core. This means that consecutive cores will become jagged and more difficult to eject.

It takes approximately 1 minute to core a sample. This includes the time it takes to hit the core bottom and then deposit the core in the destination tube.

No, the sample will not thaw inside the coring probe. Since both the probes and parent samples are kept at -80C, there is not enough time or temperature difference to thaw the partial sample during extraction.
